SuperTux is similar in appearance and gameplay to the Super Mario series of video games. Pre-compiled binary packages are available for most major distributions of Linux and other major operating systems. It is licenced under the General Public License (GPL) and is in active development. From the website:

"The Milestone1 release of SuperTux features 9 enemies, 26 playable levels, software and OpenGL rendering modes, configurable joystick and keyboard input, new music and completely redone graphics."
