How-To
Nvidia Drivers (Ubuntu)

This how-to is about: Nvidia, Ubuntu

What you need to know to use this how-to: Ubuntu

Ubuntu (using 7.04 or 7.10) can make it quite simple to install the Nvidia Binary Drivers. All you must do is click System>Administration>Restricted Drivers Manager. There will be an option to use the Nvidia driver. Make sure this is checked, and it should do the rest for you.

If for some reason there is no option to use this driver, there are a few other ways to do it. The easiest way is to use a program called Envy. Download it here. Then, go to Applications>System Tools>Envy (or press Alt+F2 and type in "gksudo envy -g" (without quotes)). Click the "Install NVIDIA Drivers" option, and follow the instructions. This will do the setup for you.
